The Kuruppampady police arrested a man on charge of cheating job aspirants by offering them fake job offers in Israel.
The arrested is Sreethesh, 35, of Kannur. He allegedly carried out the fraud in a pseudo name through a dubious firm in Ernakulam North as part of a racket.
Cases registered by the Kuruppampady police alone accounted for around ₹15 lakh. The accused allegedly collected money in several lots. He had gone into hiding for months after the alleged fraud, the police said.
