Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s mother Dayalu Ammal, 91, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road late on Monday. A statement on her health condition is expected to be released later. She has been ailing for the past few years.
After the death of her husband, former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, in 2018, her health deteriorated further. She was receiving critical medical care at her home in Gopalapuram. Mr. Stalin visited Gopalapuram on Saturday to seek blessings from his mother on his birthday.
