Apple has refreshed the iPad Air with its latest M3 chip, just months after the previous model’s release. The new Air maintains the familiar 11- and 13-inch sizes while delivering nearly double the performance compared to the M1 model
Apple’s new iPad Air comes with M4 chip and a updated Magic Keyboard
With a 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU, the M3 chip promises nearly 2x faster performance compared to its M1 predecessor, and up to 40% faster graphics capabilities. Most notably, the new model is fully optimized for Apple Intelligence, bringing advanced AI features to users at the same starting price points: Rs 59,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 79,900 for the 13-inch version.
Accompanying the new iPad Air is a redesigned Magic Keyboard, now more affordable at Rs 26,900 for the 11-inch and Rs 31,900 for the 13-inch model. The keyboard features a larger trackpad, a 14-key function row, and maintains the popular floating design. Apple has also emphasized the device’s compatibility with Apple Pencil Pro and its robust 5G connectivity.
The M3 chip enables significant improvements in AI processing, with the Neural Engine running up to 60% faster for AI-based workloads. Users can expect enhanced capabilities like the Clean Up tool in Photos, Image Wand in Notes, and seamless ChatGPT integration, all while maintaining Apple’s commitment to on-device and private cloud processing.
Customers can pre-order the new iPad Air starting today, with sales set to begin on March 12.
