Champions Trophy: NZ tighten grip as Pakistan’s chase falters with Fakhar dismissal – Pakistan

New Zealand bowlers squeezing Green Shirts chase; 27th over complete.

Pakistan are well into their chase of the 321 target set by New Zealand in the opening match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy tournament at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Match summary by Abyan Amir: Pakistan are in all sorts of trouble after losing Fakhar for 24 of 41, after he seemed to be feeling the effects of his muscle sprain from earlier with a stoppage in play as well due to his injury flaring up.

An over earlier, Fakhar was also walking back to the pavilion after skying a ball off Phillips when Conway gave him a reprieve by dropping him at deep midwicket.

Now it’s up to Babar and the centurion from Pakistan’s chase of 352 last week, Salman Agha to take the innings forward.
